Posties these days wear hi-vis yellow and travel on scooters, but back in the day they were suited and booted, trimmed in scarlet, and their bikes were scarlet too - like these cheery little native groundcovers.
These posties run over the ground, spreading wide, flowering from autumn into late spring; and like the posties they battle through a chilly winter and hot summer.
