Bee Brilliant is a cheerful lavender that brings a splash of deep purple and loads of charm to your garden. It has a neat, compact shape that’s just right for low hedges, garden borders, or even a standout feature in a pot on the patio.

With beautifully fragrant blooms and slver-grey foliage, it’s perfect for a herb garden or for picking and enjoying indoors in a vase or pot pourri.

Bee Brilliant grows well in all sorts of Aussie climates. It handles light overnight frosts, though it’s best to give it a little cover in areas with frost. Easy-care, fast-growing, and full of colour and scent.

Description

Lavandula stoechas 'Bee Brilliant'

APPEARANCE : Fragrant shrub, with narrow grey-green foliage and deep purple flowers with long tufts in spring-summer. also sold as Madrid Purple. Similar to the classic Italian lavender variety Avonview, more upright and with greyer foliage.
USE FOR : Perfect for cottage gardens and hedging. Suited to rockeries and pots. Cut flowers may be dried and used in flower arrangements or potpourri.
CLIMATE : Tolerant to light frost. Prefers drier climates
PLANTING : Plant in full sun and free-draining soil. Avoid wet feet. Will tolerate lower light levels but flowering will be affected.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly for the first 12 weeks until the plant establishes. Prune twice yearly (taking care to remove only 1/3 of the foliage while avoiding cutting into old wood) and fertilise yearly using a slow release fertiliser after flowering maintain compact growth.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH : 60-100cm H x 60-100cm W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
