Deep green foliage shifts to rich purple as the weather cools, bringing colour through the seasons. In late winter and spring it produces colourful cones that work beautifully in the garden or as cut foliage.
Easy to grow in full sun and well-drained soil, it’s a great choice for feature planting or mixed garden beds.
Leucadendron galpinii 'Purple Haze' APPEARANCE : Bold evergreen open branching shrub from South Africa. Foliage turns from deep green to rich purple with the seasons, followed by colourful cones and decorative nuts in late winter and spring.
USE FOR: Suitable for garden beds, hedges, borders, cut flower garden.
CLIMATE : Thrives in warm, dry climates and tolerates light frost once established. Frost tolerant to -5C
PLANTING : Prefers full sun. Suitable for a variety of soil types but must be well drained.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly during the first 4-6 weeks or until the plant is established. A very hardy, low maintenance plant being frost and drought tolerant once established.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1.5 m H x 1 m W.
