A tiny microbat can eat up to 400 mozzies a night! That's got to be good reason to install one of these boxes in your garden. There's 26 different kinds of microbat in SE Queensland alone, like the Little Forest Bat, weighing only 4 grams. It has one baby a year, and its roosting and feeding sites are under threat from forestry, mining, agriculture, and land clearance for housing.

DESCRIPTION: Micro bats are nocturnal and insectivorous, eating vast quantities of insects every evening - up to 40% of their body weight in one night. During the day, these bats need a safe dark roosting site, like this purpose built bat box. USES: Micro bats live in small family groups and alternate between roosting sites across their home range. Hang one or more bat boxes in different parts of your garden to provide a variety of roosting sites. The best location is on a tree at least 4 metres from the ground. SIZE: 380mm H x 180mm W x 140mm D; 20mm opening.
