Rugged, resilient, ripper grass, bold in scale, with tall arching plumes of biscuit-brown at the end of summer, which age through autumn to a warm silvery colour, giving this grass its common name. The stems age to an attractive toasty brown, and leaves often take on spicy shades too.
Miscanthus grows in almost any soil, any location; give it plenty of sun and don't let its roots get soggy in winter for best flowering and health. Fantastic for bold back-of-border planting, and on-trend prairie garden looks.
