Rice flower - Ozothamnus diosmifolius
DESCRIPTION: Evergreen shrub with fine needle-like foliage. Large white flower heads apear late winter through spring. Lovely cut flower to enjoy indoors in a vase.
USE IN: Plant in cottage style gardens as a garden feature or low hedge/screening plant. Loves coastal conditions.
LOCATION: Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden in free draining soil. Avoid over watering.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Tolerates moderate frost and salt soil. Trim after flowering and fertilise using a native slow release fertiliser.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1.5-2.5m H x 1-1.5m W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tube-stock plants, young healthy plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The average size of your plants will be 15 -25 cm in height including the pot height of 80 mm x 42 mm wide.
