Pelargonium australe - native storksbill

APPEARANCE :  Native fast-growing herbaceous perennial with five-petalled flowers, white or deep pink, the petals striped with darker pink; and soft hairy leaves. Flowers appear through most of the warmer months.
ORIGIN : Found right across the southern half of the country and up the southern QLD coast, from coastal sites to semi-arid inland areas and alpine altitude
USE FOR : Underplanting below trees, groundcover in part shade, in baskets and containers, to attract butterflies and other pollinators. Firebreak
PLANTING : Plant in any soil in a full sun to part shaded location. The sunnier the position the more water it will need. Mulch after planting to retain moisture and regulate soil temperatures as the young plant establishes. Frost tolerant
CARE : An application of a native slow release fertiliser in spring will help keep the plant healthy.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 30-60 cm H x 30-90 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
