Elegant versatile native tussock grass especially useful for erosion control. Happy in any soil, especially wetter areas. Feathery flowerheads in summer add to the appeal. Often recommended in local council planting lists and for bushland gardens.

Poa labillarierei - tussock grass

APPEARANCE : Dense native grass with very fine long leaves, matt grey-green. Suited to all soil types, fast-growing. This grass is found naturally in moist open spots, creek banks and shorelines.
USE IN: Ideal around water courses, erosion control, bushland gardens and containers in formal outdoor areas.
PLANTS : Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position, will tolerate frost and saline soils.
CARE: Low maintenance and tolerant of harsh conditions, requires little care once established. Fertilise with a native slow release fertiliser once a year.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: Up to 1.2m x 0.5m.
