Big bright daisies from the chrysanthemum family will add colour year after year to your sunny borders and patio pots through the warmer months, and make longlasting cut flowers for your home, too.

Pyrethrum roseum, Tanacetum coccineum 'Robinson's Painted' large flowered hybrids - seed

DESCRIPTION: A colourful perennial mix of red and pinks with bright yellow centres, related to chrysanthemums. Cut flowers are beautiful and have a long vase life - cut the stems in the coolest part of the day.
PLANTING: Plant spring and summer in most areas of Australia, may also be sown during winter along the east coast from South Sydney to northern Queensland and the NT. Check the seed pack for detailed info on planting in your area. Sow seeds into seed raising mixture or direct into their final position, cover with a light layer of soil and keep moist. Thin seedlings if they become crowded & replant elsewhere. Plant in free draining soil in a full sun location for best flowering. Preparing garden beds with well composted manure will give the best results.
CARE: Water seedlings regularly until established, follow with a good deep water weekly and allow plants to dry out between watering. For an extra long flowering season and healthy foliage remove spent blooms and feed with liquid fertiliser bi-monthly.
