APPEARANCE: Rosettes of upright sword-shaped leaves, deep green with deep purple reverses. Small white flowers tucked into the base of the leaves
USE FOR : Groundcover landscaping for dry areas and rockeries; mass planting and underplanting. Suitable as a patio plant in containers. Plant where you can see the light shine through for maximum colour.
PLANTING : Prefers a full sun to part shade position. Plant in free draining soil rich in organic matter. Drought hardy.
CARE : Rhoeos are fast growing, mulch and water well until established. Remove pups if desired and re-plant in areas of the garden that need a little contrasting colour. Feed with a controlled release, or liquid fertiliser twice a year.
