Spathiphyllum 'Blue Moon' - peace lily

APPEARANCE: Medium-sized to large peace lily with dark foliage, waved at the edges and large white upright flowers tapering to a point, which stand above the leaves. Also known as 'peace lily' this clumping plant is native to South America and thrives in humid shady climates.
USE FOR : Perfect indoor plant for adding a cool tropical vibe to a larger lounge room. Suited to under planting outdoors in tropical climates. Renowned for its air-cleaning properties.
PLANTING: Plant in sheltered position, avoid direct sunlight. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Protect from frost and provide plenty of water during dry periods.
CARE: Water only when soil begins to dry, gently push your finger into the soil to test for moisture. Spathiphyllum thrive in humid conditions. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and a liquid based fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the warmer months, take care to dilute your solution to half the recommended dose to avoid burn. For indoor plants - wipe leaves gently with a damp cloth if you notice them collecting dust and spritz with a hand sprayer, this will refresh the foliage to its usual glossy finish. Re-pot container plants at the beginning of spring.
