Just when you thought all peace lilies look the same, along comes Silver Streak to blow that out of the water. This peace lily differs vastly from the regular species by having thicker foliage that is a lighter green - almost airbrushed in appearance - , a silvery-white stripe down the centre of each leaf, and sparkly silver undersides to the new growth. This variety still produces the recognisable, sail-like flowers and would definitely be a plant for collectors!

Spathiphyllum 'Silver Streak' - peace lily

APPEARANCE: Peace lily with light green foliage with a silvery-white stripe and upright flowers tapering to a point, which stand above the leaves. Also known as 'peace lily' this clumping plant is native to South America and thrives in humid shady climates.
USE FOR : Perfect indoor plant for adding a cool tropical vibe. Suited to under planting outdoors in tropical climates. Renowned for its air-cleaning properties.
PLANTING: Plant in sheltered position, avoid direct sunlight. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Protect from frost and provide plenty of water during dry periods.
CARE: Water only when soil begins to dry, gently push your finger into the soil to test for moisture. Spathiphyllum thrive in humid conditions. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and a liquid based fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the warmer months, take care to dilute your solution to half the recommended dose to avoid burn. For indoor plants - wipe leaves gently with a damp cloth if you notice them collecting dust and spritz with a hand sprayer, this will refresh the foliage to it's usual glossy finish. Re-pot container plants at the beginning of spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH:  30 - 35cm H x 15 - 20cm W.
YOUR PLANTS: These plants are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide. May be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on.
