Sprekelia - Jacobean lily, Aztec lily

APPEARANCE : Striking Summer flowering bulb with deep red amaryllis- or orchid--like flowers on compact stems.
USE IN : Ideal for all kinds of garden situations where they can grow undisturbed, including containers and pots
CLIMATE : Cool to tropical
PLANTING : Plant so the bulb tip pokes just above the surface of the soil. Likes a sunny position in well drained soil
CARE : Once planted, water the soil to set the tuber in place. An occasional light watering is all that's needed until the first flowers appear. Water if the soil becomes dry, feed after flowering in the winter.
