Compact beautiful fast-growing native rainforest shrub or small tree with delicate ferny foliage, bright lime when new; and curly white flowers. Tougher than its pretty appearance would suggest. Leave to grow to 5m or clip to an attractive hedge.
Stenocarpus angustifolius DoreenDESCRIPTION: Compact and upright growing native shrub with fern like foliage and clusters of creamy white flowers
USES: Excellent for screening or as a specimen tree. Use as a contrast plant with the fine light green foliage. Bees and other pollinators love the flowers. In the wild it grows in and near creeks so try this in a seasonally wet part of your garden.
CARE: Tough and will tolerate light frosts. Mulch and keep watered until established then it should be fine.
PLANTING: Tolerates most positions and conditions but would benefit with mulching and fertilising at the time of planting in a well drained soil. Ideal in full sun
HEIGHT: Up to 5M but can be clipped to preferred height.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tubestock plants with young healthy roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80 mm x 42 mm wide.
