Description

Strelitzia reginae 'Mandela's Gold'

DESCRIPTION: A rare yellow form of bird of paradise, with large paddle-shaped leaves and bright bird-like flowers.
USE IN:As a feature in tropical-style garden settings, poolside, grassy borders, large containers.
LOCATION: Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden. Perfect as a feature in tropical garden settings.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Remove spent flowers and old foliage as required. Once established separate new shoots and plant elsewhere in the garden. May become prone to mealy bug and scale if in poor condition. Keep your plant healthy by applying a liquid fertiliser twice yearly, any bug infestations can be easily treated using eco-oil.
