Plant this one with running postman and you'll have red pea flowers for days! We've never got close enough to a cockatoo to check out its tongue, but apparently they look like an orange-red pea flower - and Templetonia has dozens in winter and spring.
This one loves the dry climates along the southern states, but will stand eastern humidity too in free draining soil and an airy sunny spot.
