This compact native shrub is covered in wildlife-friendly flowers right through the cooler months; the rest of the year it tucks into the background of showier plants, waiting until winter when it emerges like a pale pink butterfly from the chrysalis.Larger size plant to get your garden off to a fast start.

Thryptomene saxicola 'F.C. Payne'APPEARANCE: Native Australian shrub with a slightly weeping habit, slender evergreen aromatic foliage, and tiny pale pink flowers winter through to spring.
USE IN: Native mixed plantings, winter gardens, wildlife attracting.
LOCATION: Plant in very free draining soil in a sunny to partly shaded position in the garden; sandy slightly acid soil is ideal. Tolerates light frost and drought once established. Prefers low humidity climates.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune after flowering in spring to encourage new growth and dense flowering next season. Avoid cutting hard into old wood. Fertilise at the same time using a slow release native fertiliser.
