Mat-forming flowering thyme for full sun, dry soil, rockeries, slopes, windowboxes, between pavers, alongside vegetable gardens, around wildlife shrubs, as a lawn alternative. Evergreen in milder climates and a bee-magnet in full flower.
DESCRIPTION: Very hardy and low growing with a spreading habit and tiny rounded foliage. Rounded tiny flowers in shades of purple smother the plant in spring-summer. PLANTING: Sow direct outside all year round, or in containers in the winter in frosty areas. Cover seed to 5mm. CARE: Water your seedlings while they are young to help them establish. Mature plants will develop stronger flavour with less watering. Needs full sun and good drainage to grow best. Ideal to grow between patio paving to soften edges.
