Frost Tolerant Plants

Southern states, hinterland gardens, and gardens at higher altitude - you can enjoy a range of plants that other parts of Australia would struggle to grow. If you get occasional winter frost, or light frost, then all these plants will survive when mature.

If you get more than a couple of days hard frost in a row, or temperatures below -5C, choose our FROST HARDY plants

IMPORTANT : New tubestock plants should be protected from frost, until they have developed a woody stem, or are much larger in size. Good drainage will help plants survive cold; don't let roots sit in wet soil.
