Neat native shrub for feature planting, striking hedges, pots on the deck, and essential in a wildlife garden. Loved by birds, honeyeaters and lorikeets especially. Paler yellow flowers than the related Fairhill Gold variety, and a smaller overall size. Low maintenance too!

Xanthostemon verticillatus 'Little Penda'
APPEARANCE : Dense bushy shrub with deep green long oval-ish leaves and creamy-yellow flower clusters through the warmer months.ORIGIN : Native to northern QLD
USE FOR : Feature shrub, flowering hedge, container plant, in seasonally wet soils, for wildlife especially nectar-loving birds.
CLIMATE : Frost free, sheltered
PLANTING : Plant in full sun to part shade in the garden; the more sun the better the flowering. Will grow in areas of periodic flooding and seasonally wet soils. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.
CARE : Provide moderate watering during dry periods. Prune to shape as needed.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 2 -4 m H x 2 m W, may grow taller in tropical regions in shaded areas; but slow-growing so usually half this size in domestic gardens further south.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
