Xerochrysum bracteatum Dark Scarlet
Xerochrysum bracteatum ‘Dark Scarlet’, better known as Strawflower or Paper Daisy, is a tough little Aussie native that shows off heaps of deep scarlet, papery blooms for months on end.
Loves the sun, great in the garden or pots, and the flowers last forever in a vase or dried for later.

APPEARANCE : It’s a compact, bushy plant with silvery-green foliage, topped with bold deep scarlet, papery petals and bright golden centres that really pop in the garden.
USE FOR : Great for bright garden beds, borders, pots, or for picking as long-lasting fresh or dried flowers.
PLANTING: Plant in a sunny spot with well-drained soil, in a warm to temperate climate. Handles light frost and dry spells once established.
CARE : Mulch on planting and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks.Deadhead spent flower stems as required.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 50cm to 1m H x 30-60cm W.
