Midnight Ginger sounds like a racehorse, or maybe an exotic dancer, but it's a rare and highly sought-after tropical shade-lover that will add drama and lushness to your subtropical garden.
Broad burgundy leaves look almost black in shade, glow wine-red in sunlight, arch over the ginger flowers like beach parasols. Peek beneath and youll see waxy pinecones of yellow changing to orange and pink as the buds open and mature, like a bouquet of fruity ice pops.
