Acacia - wattle
Acacias - golden wattles - are one of Australia's most iconic plants, celebrated on stamps, souvenirs, and in song. National Wattle Day is 1 September, to coincide with their peak flowering season - but there's seemingly a wattle in flower almost every day of the year.
