Anigozanthos - kangaroo paw

One of Australia's iconic native flowers - its distinctive furry flowers in warm shades add a touch of the outback to the most urban of outdoor spaces.

The National Botanic Gardens advises treating kangaroo paws as short-lived plants lasting 3 to 5 years. We recommend cutting your plants back to 10 cm from the ground in winter, and dividing larger clumps and replanting them, to keep plants healthy and living longer.
