Saltbush is a rugged, resilient, hard yakka kinda bush, thriving right across the south of the country from the Bass strait coast to the red centre. It grows in tough places - salt lake margins, sand dunes - and has an attractive grey colour. It gets its other name, goosefoot, from the unusual shape of the leaves
