Cyclamen are gorgeous bulb plants, that in their wild state reach about 30cm high in full flower.

This new compact Djix series makes them easy to grow, more heat-tolerant, with masses of colourful unique blooms. with downward-facing petals in contrasting colours, creating a twotone effect.

You can enjoy pots of beautifully-patterned heart-shaped leaves, and upright stems of bright silky flowers held above the leaves, so you can see them clearly!

Djix Red has scarlet petals with white smaller petals for a dramatically sparkling display indoors or out.

Cyclamen persicum ‘F1 Djix Red’ - florist cyclamen

APPEARANCE : Rounded compact clumps of heart shaped dark green leaves marked with silver. Upright stems of flowers with long satin upright petals in cooler months. The Djix series is bred for compact easy-to-grow plants with unique recurved flowers that face downwards, showing the contrast-coloured outer petals against the larger central petals. Happy indoors or out; Red is a vibrant scarlet with white outer petals.
ORIGIN : Rocky hillsides and shady woods across Greece, Turkey, Middle East, and northern Africa.
USE FOR : Indoor decor, potted colour, patio pots, front of border in the garden. Note : the tuber is poisonous if eaten so keep plant away from pets and small children.
CLIMATE : Protect from frost; temperatures over 5C
PLANTING : Plant so the top of the tuber is showing above the soil surface, as in the tubestock pot. Plant in bright dappled or part shade, in a sheltered location.
CARE : Water regularly but lightly; feed fortnightly during the flowering season. Cyclamen grow from bulbs - tubers - and usually become dormant for part of the year, usually summer, when they are not flowering. Once leaves start to yellow, or all flowering has finished, reduce watering so the plant can dry off and start dormancy.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH : 30cm H x 30cm W.
