Thanks to the soft covering of white hairs this compact little plant really does shimmer in bright sun; and changes colour in the cold for a second display in winter. Like all houseleeks, it's a robust hardy garden plant for dry soils, waterwise gardens, and exposed locations like roof terraces, as well as for showing off in a pot.

Description

Sempervivum Chick Charms® 'Sugar Shimmer'™

DESCRIPTION: Small neat very compact pointy rosette succulent, silvery-green and fluffy in appearance from the leaf hairs. Leaf edges will turn a shade of maroon in cooler weather. Semper-vivum means "ever-living".
USE IN: Rockeries, pots, green roofs, indoors, waterwise gardens.
LOCATION: Plant in free-draining gritty soil in full sun for maximum leaf colour and root health. Rock-solid cold hardy and drought tolerant once established.
CARE: Don't overwater; and water around - not into - the rosettes during summer heatwaves. Carefully remove dead old leaves by pulling gently. If any pups (little plants) form, remove them carefully and pot them on, or leave them in place to form a colony of groundcovering rosettes.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 7 cm H x 10 cm W.
YOUR PLANTS: These are tubestock plants with a healthy young root system and will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80 mm x 42 mm wide. Your plants may be supplied as 'plugs', slightly smaller than our usual tubestock but with a healthy root system ready for planting or potting on.
