Faster growing, more heat tolerant than other Buxus. Leaves are a good bright green. Very dense growth too, so ideal for neat hedging and fancy topiary if that's your thing. For a more compact variety, choose Faulkner.

Buxus microphylla - Japanese box

APPEARANCE : Small to medium evergreen shrub with green glossy round leaves and dense foliage. Establishes quickly, faster growing than other Buxus.
USE FOR :  Ideal for hedging and screening in the garden. Classic hedge for that formal look. Ideal for containers.
CLIMATE : Frost hardy. Good heat tolerance
PLANTING : Plant in well drained soil in a sunny position in the garden. Tolerates most soil types except acidic.
CARE: Mulch and water well when planting. Continue to water regularly for the first 12 weeks or until the plant is established. Fertilise during Spring and prune as required to maintain form.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH: 0.5m - 1m H x 0.5m - 1m W.
