Caladium bicolor 'Cherry Balls' - angel wings

APPEARANCE : Large deep green heartshaped leaves with a red centre, variable in size.  
USE FOR:  Perfect for adding colour to a shady corner in the tropical garden. Ideal container plant for a shaded patio or indoors in a well lit room.  
PLANTING: Plant in a humid shady frost free spot with indirect sunlight. Prefers free draining soil or a good quality potting mix.
CARE: Water regularly during the first 12 weeks and only if soil seems dry once established. Feed using liquid fertiliser at half rate every few weeks as the plant establishes. Remove any old leaves for a quick tidy up. Caladiums love humidity, for indoor plants regular water and a daily spritz on the foliage will keep them happy. Foliage may die back during the cooler months when plants become dormant. Remove spent leaves and place plants in a dry dark room, water only every 4-6 weeks and wait for it to burst to life again as spring arrives.
