Callistemon citrinus ‘Endeavour’
DESCRIPTION: also known as Splendens. Large deep red bottle-brush shaped flowers give a display of colour in spring and summer. New leaf colour is copper-bronze-rust tones.
USE IN: Ideal planted in native gardens as a feature tree.
LOCATION: Very hardy and forgiving in all types of soil, even heavy or seasonally waterlogged.  Prefers full sun but will tolerate dappled shade.
Plant in a free draining soil rich in organic matter. Reasonably frost tolerant once established.
CARE:  Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune after flowering and apply a slow release native fertilser to promote dense growth habit and prolific flowering during the next flowering season.
