APPEARANCE : Fiji Fire is a shrub to small tree with bright and soft new growth at most times of the year. Tight habit makes a great hedge. Eye-catching orange red pincushion flowers during spring and summer, occasionally later in the year in warmer climates.USE FOR : Ideal for sea-side planting; bird attracting, makes a great hedge or on its own as a feature plant.
CLIMATE : Salt and wind tolerant. Frost free
PLANTING : Plant in full sun for rich foliage colour and prolific flowering. Tolerates part shade. Thrives in free draining soil.
CARE : Well drained clay loams or sandy soil with a neutral to acid pH. Tolerates dry conditions once established. Prune lightly following after flowering is finished. Fertilise with native-plant fertiliser early spring and at planting.
