Crested Bird’s Nest Fern - Asplenium australasicum cristata

DESCRIPTION: Grand Australian native fern featuring large crested fronds growing from the centre creating a natural ‘bird’s nest’.
USE IN: Plant as a feature in lush tropical style gardens. Suited to pots too! Try planting with our cordylines for contrasting colour. Suited to containers and indoor gardens.
PLANTING: Plant in free draining soil in a shaded location, indoor plants may need to be rotated for optimum health. Mulch after planting to retain moisture and regulate soil temperatures as the young plant establishes.
CARE: Keep moist during dry periods. Ferns thrive in humid conditions. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and a liquid fertiliser every 4 weeks during the warmer months, take care to dilute your solution to half the recommended dose to avoid burn. Re-pot container plants only if they are outgrowing their pots. Protect from Frost.
HEIGHT & WIDTH:  1.2 m H x 1.5 m W. 
YOUR PLANTS: These plants are tube-stock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The average size of your plants will be 15 -25 cm including the pot height of 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
