Bird's nest ferns of all kinds are very handsome plants for lounge rooms and bathrooms, and for shade planting in subtropical and frost-free gardens.
Asplenium nidus ferns like Avis are even more handsome than their cousins - nidus means "shining" and their leaves are very broad and glossy, bright granny-smith green. Give this one some good soil or potting mix, mist it regularly if your climate is dry, and enjoy watching those lush fronds unfurl.
