This little kiwi creeper makes a great little groundcover or trailing basket filler, especially in sheltered frost-free spots and dappled shade. The rainbow flowers are a curiosity - but you might need a magnifying glass to really appreciate them!
Fuchsia procumbens - creeping fuchsia - 75mm size /p>APPEARANCE : Evergreen trailing groundcover with tiny rainbow flowers in spring, followed by edible pink-red bushtucker berries.
USE FOR : erosion control, underplanting, hanging baskets.
CLIMATE : Frost free
PLANTING : Dappled or light shade; tolerates full sun if watered regularly. Happy in any soil type. Mulch and water on a regular basis, until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Protect from frost with extra mulch.
CARE: Fertilise using a slow release fertiliser after flowering to encourage healthy growth.
MATURE HEIGHT & WIDTH: 20 cm H x 1m W.
