Native rainforest holly with clusters of crimson flowers and glossy evergreen foliage in the traditional holly shape. Grows to a neat hedge.

Graptophyllum ilicifolium - holly fuchsia
DESCRIPTION: Native to lowland rainforests of Northern Queensland, holly fuchsia thrives in moist well drained soil in partial shade, and flowers late winter through to spring.
USE IN: Suited to cottage gardens, under-story planting and screening. Ideal for containers too!
PLANTING: Plant in filtered sunlight, tolerates full sun if watered regularly. Mulch and water on a regular basis, until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Protect from frost. It is slow growing but well worth the wait!
CARE: Prune and fertilise using a slow release native fertiliser after flowering to encourage dense growth.
HEIGHT & WIDTH:  3-6 m H x 2-3 m W.
