Bright, bold, resilient ground cover that will fill your garden with golden flowers. Plant on hard-to-reach slopes to keep down weeds; plant in frontline coastal gardens where more tender plants might struggle; plant in patio pots for a sunny splash of colour. Usually available in spring until we sell out.
Gazania rigens New Day Yellow
DESCRIPTION: Bright yellow large daisy flowers with a central dark ring, above compact evergreen foliage. Hardy ground cover, ideal used to control weeds. More uniform flowering than other varieties and has larger blooms (see image).
USE IN: Great for rockeries, mass planting, pots, containers and border planting. Tough and drought tolerant once established.
LOCATION: Plant in well drained soil in full sun for maximum flowering. Keep frost free above 5C
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Mature overgrown plants may be divided and replanted in another area of the garden.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 20 – 25 cm H x 15 – 20 cm W.
PLEASE NOTE: These are tube-stock plants, with young healthy roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80 mm x 42 mm wide.
