Streptosolen jamesonii - marmalade bush, ginger meggs
DESCRIPTION: Medium growing shrub flowering with tangerine and yellow clusters spring and autumn.
USE IN: Informal hedge or screening plant. Beautiful for attracting birdlife to the garden.
LOCATION: Plant in well drained soil in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune after flowering to promote dense growth habit and flowering next season. Provide plenty of water during dry spells. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring. May become prone to aphids when water-stressed, these can be easily controlled by applying eco-neem.
HEIGHT AND WIDTH: Up to 3m H x 2.5m W.
