Fast-growing native sprawling shrub-groundcover with cheery little yellow flowers for a long season, ideal for naturalising and underplanting in garden borders, and wildlife gardens. Happy almost anywhere you grow it, and home to native butterflies.
Goodenia ovata - hop Goodenia
APPEARANCE : Fast-growing native shrub with bright yellow dainty pansy or nasturtium-like flowers from spring to autumn which attract native pollinators. Found almost everywhere in Australia in the wild which makes it very adaptable for gardens. Very variable, from a low groundcover to an open shrub.USE FOR: Seaside, outback, and Australian cottage gardens, wildlife and native gardens. Butterfly host plant. Fast-growing border filler.
PLANTING : Plant in full sun to part shade in moist free-draining soil. Frost tolerant.
CARE : Continue to water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Hard prune after flowering to keep it dense and flowery. Feed with a slow release native fertiliser during spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : usually to 1m H x 1 - 3 m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
