Goodenia ovata - hop Goodenia
DESCRIPTION: Fast-growing native shrub with bright yellow pansy or nasturtium-like flowers from spring to autumn which attract native pollinators. Found almost everywhere in Australia in the wild which makes it very adaptable for gardens. Very variable, from a low groundcover to an open shrub.
USES: Seaside, outback, and Australian cottage gardens, wildlife and native gardens. Butterfly host plant. Fast-growing border filler.
PLANTING: Plant in full sun to part shade in moist free-draining soil. Frost tolerant.
CARE: Continue to water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Hard prune after flowering to keep it dense and flowery. Feed with a slow release native fertiliser during spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: usually to 1m H x 1 - 3 m W.
YOUR PLANTS: These plants are tube-stock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The average size of your plants will be 15 -25 cm including the pot height of 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
