Fast-growing trailing or groundcover succulent for sun or part shade. Give it bright light for deeper purple colour and more golden daisy blooms through the year. It's a great waterwise rockery plant; a little shade in the afternoon helps if you can't water your plants.

Description

Othonna capensis, Crassothonna capensis 'Ruby Necklace' - little pickles

APPEARANCE : South African succulent with long trailing maroon-red stems, green-purple elongated chubby leaves, yellow daisy flowers through the year. Leaf colour is stronger in bright light
USE FOR : Great for rockeries, terrariums, pots indoors and out, xeriscaping. Hardy and drought tolerant once established though it appreciates extra water in hot sunny sites.
PLANTING : Plant in free-draining soil in sun for maximum colour.
CARE : Water until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Once established, water when soil is dry or leaves start to shrink. Keep it in a sunny position for at least part of the day. Caterpillars love the juicy leaves so keep an eye out.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 0.1m H x 0.5m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
