A vibrant cultivar of a favourite coastal native, this groundcover succulent is perfect for rockeries, dry poor soils, frontline beach properties, waterwise gardens, bank binding.

Aussie Rambler™ is a beefy pigface - much bigger flowers than the species form; grows taller, and more upright; and can survive temperatures as low as -8C which makes it ideal for outback and southern gardens.

Carpobrotus glaucescens Aussie Rambler™ ‘CAR10’ PBR - pigface

APPEARANCE : Ozbreed variety bred and selected from the species form for improved characteristics. Low carpet-forming coastal succulent. Spreading stems covered with fleshy leaves, much longer and thicker than the species form and with pink-purple tints. Vivid purple-pink daisy flowers spring and summer, much larger than the species form. Fruits and leaves are edible - "carpobrotus" means edible fruit.
USE FOR : Great for rockeries, pots, landscaping, groundcover, xeriscaping. Hardy and drought tolerant once established. More cold-tolerant than the species form, Aussie Rambler has survived -8 degrees Celsius.
PLANTING : Plant in free-draining soil in sun for maximum colour and compact shape. Grows in sand and frontline coastal locations. Plant where it gets sun for at least part of the day
CARE : Water until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Once established, water when soil is dry - it doesn't like wet feet.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 0.2m H x 2m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
