Philodendron 'White Princess'

APPEARANCE: Big leafy plant with glossy heart shaped leaves. The leaves are apple green, splashed randomly with paler green and white. Note: The colouration is random and variable, and develops as the plant grows and matures. Occasional leaves may appear all green.
USE FOR : Plant as a border in tropical gardens and shaded underplanting. Perfect indoors in pots
CLIMATE : Frost free, above 15C
PLANTING: Prefers a sheltered position, avoid direct sunlight. Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Plant away from areas where children and pets play as the leaves contain a poisonous substance. Avoid contact with skin.
CARE: For a long flowering season provide plenty of bright, filtered light. Protect from cold and keep moist during dry periods. Philodendrons thrive in humid conditions, mist regularly. Apply a slow release fertiliser during spring and a liquid based fertiliser every 2-4 weeks during the warmer months, take care to dilute your solution to half the recommended dose to avoid burn. For indoor plants - wipe leaves gently with a damp cloth if you notice them collecting dust, this will refresh the foliage to its usual glossy finish. Re-pot container plants at the beginning of spring.
