If you want something that's easy to care for, and rewards a little effort with a lot of enjoyment - then mistletoe cactus might be the plant for you. It's laughably forgiving of almost any growing conditions.

This shade-loving jungle cactus grows into long stems which trail like Rapunzel's hair over the edges of a hanging pot. They'll also grow like staghorn ferns, in the fork of a tree.

Mature happy plants sparkle with tiny white flowers and translucent berries, a very pretty effect.

APPEARANCE : Long trailing epiphytic tropical succulent with slender branching stems covered in soft hair-prickles. Tiny white flowers are followed by ornamental pale green-white berries. Called mistletoe cactus because of the translucent berries which resemble northern hemisphere mistletoe. This one is a slightly hairy form, that is also known as mouse tail cactus.
USE FOR : Fun hanging basket and indoor plant; garden plant for tropical zones.
PLANTING : Plant in free-draining soil in part shade, morning sun and afternoon shade is recommended.
CARE: Water until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Once established, water when soil is dry. The plants are adapted to cope with monsoon conditions, as they grow in trees where excess rainfall drains off fast.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 0.3m H x 1m L.
