Agapanthus orientalis 'Black Magic'

APPEARANCE : 'Black Magic' is a stunning variety of agapanthus with almost black flower buds and deep purple flowers during summer and spring. Agapanthus are beautifully structured plants with wonderful blooms on tall flower spikes.
USE FOR: Elegant, stately and architecturally pleasing they are great for mass plantings in the garden for a splash of flowering colour through summer.
PLANTING: Agapanthus are surprisingly hardy and worth a go in most protected areas but will prefer full sun to part shade.  Plant in a well drained soil, mulch and fertilise when planting but not too rich in organic matter and go easy with the fertiliser.  Surprisingly tolerant of cold and dry conditions but growth is restricted in these conditions.
CARE:  Hardy and low maintenance.  Lift and divide when clumps get too large.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1.5m H x 1.5m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
