Plant this compact shrub for the attractive dark glossy leaves, dark bronze-red when new, maturing to glossy green, and turning red in winter. Plant it as a neat and versatile evergreen low hedge.

Plant it for the abundant clusters of dainty pale lilac-white flowers with rusty-red calyxes, and local  Imperial Jezebel butterflies may visit to feast on the flower nectar. So many reasons to find a space for this one in your garden!
