Bright variegated foliage in pink, white, gold and green shades, rounded shrub to 1m, with clusters of gently scented soft mauve-white flowers which attract butterflies.

Abelia x grandiflora (Linnaea x grandiflora) Variegata

DESCRIPTION: Variegated foliage variable in colour in shades of pink, white, gold and green; clusters of tubular shaped, gently scented soft mauve-white flowers.
USE IN: Feature plant, low informal hedging, well suited to cottage gardens. Attracts butterflies.
LOCATION: Plant in well drained soil in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden. Tolerates coastal conditions, frost, dry periods once established.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune after flowering to promote dense growth habit and flowering, fertilise with a slow release fertiliser in spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: Up to 1m H x 1m W, may trimmed for low hedging.
