Brighter red new leaf colour and more dense and branching than Claret Tops, and slightly larger in size. This new variety is a useful addition to the paperbark shrub family and will make an attractive fine-leaved hedge or privacy screen in your native garden.

Melaleuca linariifolia 'Little Red' PBR

DESCRIPTION: Striking accent plant with slender grey-green leaves and rich red new growth after pruning, brighter and more maroon in colour than Claret Tops. This small dense rounded shrub can be clipped to shape. Features masses of small white flowers in spring-summer.
USE IN: Perfect for borders, native gardens and as a feature plant. Non-invasive roots. Attracts birdlife.
LOCATION: Tolerates most soil types and planting conditions from sand to clay. Plant in full sun to maximize vibrancy of the new growth and encourage flowering. Plant in a free draining soil rich in organic matter. Drought resistant, salt tolerant, pollution tolerant. 
CARE: Mulch and water well, prune after flowering to encourage compact growth habit.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1.5-2 m H x 1.5 m W.
