Coral-pink flowers fringed with white pop open above evergreen foliage during spring. More contrasting colouration than Dogwood or Autumn Sunburst, and pointier petals. Lovely compact shrub.

Azalea kurume 'Mrs Kint'

APPEARANCE : Vibrant coral-pink coloured blooms with white edges along the petals, and darker freckling within. Small-medium rounded evergreen shrub.
USE FOR : Beautiful in groups as a mass display of flowering colour. Suitable for pots.
CLIMATE : Will tolerate light frost once established.
PLANTING : Azaleas love dappled, morning and/or afternoon sun. Full sun is ok but not too exposed, hot and dry.
Plant in a moist free draining soil rich in organic matter.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Continue to water on a regular basis for the first twelve months to ensure the plant becomes fully established. Azaleas do not like drying out. Prune after spring flowering to promote dense growth habit and flowering next season, fertilise using a slow release fertiliser such as Osmocote which is specially formulated for azaleas
