APPEARNCE : Striking red-orange semi double flowers bloom during autumn and spring. This Ozbreed azalea has a dense spreading growth habit. One of the cold-tolerant Encore range of azaleas.USE FOR : Perfect for hedging, borders and specimen planting. Suited to containers.
CLIMATE : Will tolerate light frost and dry spells once established.
PLANTING : Azaleas love dappled, morning and/or afternoon sun. Full sun is ok but not too exposed, hot and dry.
Plant in a moist free draining soil rich in organic matter.
CARE : Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Continue to water on a regular basis for the first twelve months to ensure the plant becomes fully established. Azaleas do not like drying out. Prune after spring flowering to promote dense growth habit and flowering next season, fertilise using a slow release fertiliser such as Osmocote which is specially formulated for azaleas
