Barleria cristata Pink - Philippine violetAPPEARANCE: Tough attractive shrub or herbaceous perennial, originally from the Indian sub-continent, Burma, and Nepal, with magenta-pink flowers and upright branching stems of deep green soft leaves. Flowers during spring/summer.
PLANTING: Full sun/part shade. Frost free locations. It is a coloniser plant, growing readily on dry disturbed soils and roadsides
CARE: Responds well to light pruning which shapes it and improves bushiness. Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established; protect from frost.
