Ayesha is something special. She has tiny slightly curled petals like little spoons, in mother-of-pearl shades of lilac, blush pink and powder blue. Very unusually for hydrangeas, she also has a light perfume.

Hydrangea macrophylla 'Ayesha' - popcorn hydrangea

APPEARANCE :  Large leaved deciduous shrub with large rounded softly-scented flower heads in shades of lilac-pink, and soft light green leaves. Petals are tiny and slightly spoon-shaped.
USE FOR : Cottage gardens, woodland style gardens, shade, and containers. Colour may vary according to soil - alkaline and chalk soils give pinker shades; acid soils give bluer ones; neutral pH gives a lilac flower.
PLANTING : Hydrangeas prefer a partly shaded position in the garden, rich soil, and plenty of water during dry periods. Cold hardy
CARE : Water regularly during the first 8-12 weeks until the plant is established. Apply a slow release fertiliser early spring. Protect from harsh sunlight. Macrophyllas flower on old wood so site them carefully to give them space to grow. Prune them by deadheading spent flowers back to a leaf joint.
HEIGHT & WIDTH : 1.5m H x 1.5m W.
YOUR PLANTS : These are tubestock plants, healthy young plants with new roots that will establish quickly in your garden. The pot size is 80mm high and 42 mm wide.
You can see an example in the image gallery.
